Air Locker Question

I have an 05 superduty with the 3.73ls rearend. I am interested in what an air locker would cost or maybe a good quality limited slip to replace it with. I want to have something that is good for everyday driving but also will be very reliable when I need extra traction for offroad use. I have no idea what these changes would cost. Thanks for any information and opinions you can provide.

Personally I would go with an ARB. I have had limited slips in vehicle in the past and I don't like how they "ACT"... I will be getting an ARB for my Front D-60 when I have it built up.

An ARB would be the choice for you... I am not sure if they are available for your Rear-end yet which I believe is a Sterling 10.5". All said and done you are probably looking at $2000 total - price of ARB, compressor kit and installed.

There are ARB's available for the Sterling 10.25. They will run $700-$800 for the locker itself. The compressor will run another $200-$300. I'd say Steve's estimate for the whole package including install is going to be pretty close.
