I have been trying to find a place that sells high output bulbs for the 05 x but Ford seems to be using a new bulb a 9008 anyonw found a place that sells these or even heard of one. Tried my local parts store and they wont order one in for me (Canadian Tire or Carquest)


This is what I pulled off of Sylvania's website but they havent told me where to get the 9008 bulb or H13.

Interesting....I replaced my foglight bulbs (9145) with 9005 bulbs. Big difference.

Sylvania told me that DOT will NOT allow the H13 to be made into a Silverstar as the regulations do not allow a "coated bulb" in that size. I was told that the only "upgrade" bulb by Sylvania would be the Xtra Visions. I have not been able to find anything other than stock H13s locally.

 

Well this is all that they told me, its odd that they list it on their site and yet they dont even make it. Seems kind of redundant, why list what you dont make or sell. I know I changed my fogs to the GE High Output 9005 and it is a huge difference. I am just ticked off I cant change my headlight bulbs to a cleaner and brighter bulb since I drive 95% at night it would be a great upgrade for me.

I'm sorry but we do not sell direct to the public.

In regards to your question, the H13 is not available in the Silverstar line.

Therefore, we only manufacture the standard H13 Bulb and not the H13 Silverstar . We do not know when OSRAM SYLVANIA will be manufacturing the H13 in the Silverstar Line.

Hmmmm....since I was told it was a DOT reg that does not allow the H13 in Silverstars....wondering if they willb e avaiable in Canada?
