Door Ajar Light

Door Ajar Light

My door ajar light comes on while driving down the road and, the dome light comes on as well. I pulled over and stopped to make sure the doors where indeed all the way shut. But it did not fix the problem. Turned the truck off and the dome light stayed on for over 30 minutes after removing the ignition key. Can anyone give a starting point to isolate the problem?

Im pretty sure that the switch in the door jam is bad, not to bad to replace those.

Spray some lube into the door latch and work the lube in by opening and closing the door a number of times. See if that doesn't fix the problem.
