FX4 question

When building my truck on FORD.com, I noticed that when ordering the FX4 package, you automatically upgrade to the AT tires (and get charged for it), I also noticed that you must upgrade to the 3.73 LS rear (and get charged for it).
Fine,....but when you get to the TIRE selection, you must choose and pay again for the upgraded tire that you were alreay charged for! (or pay even more the upgrade OWL). Why am I being charged twice?
Also, when ordering the FX4, if I already got charged $300 for the 3.73 limited slip, why would I have to pay ANOTHER $350 ($650 total) to upgrade to the 4.30's,.....when without the FX4 its only a $350 upgrade charge??
Has anyone else ever noticed this too?!!

These are just many of the flaws in ford.com or Forddirect. FX4 does require all-terrain tires and limited-slip axle, but you will not be charged twice for them. You're always welcome to post the truck you want here, and we'll price it out for you, CORRECTLY.

This is one Ford salesperson that wishes Ford would get their act together on their website; I wonder how many people have gone there, tried to price out a truck, and then given up in disgust? How many of those people are now driving GMs and Dodges? I've been told that Ford monitors this site; maybe you should spend a little more time monitoring your own. Assuming, of course, that anyone in Dearborn is actually listening...

FX4 question

Thanks Jeff, but its me , Carm (just ordered the last 05 from you!) I know its a little late too be checking on things, but I was just looking around and this came to my attention. I did rebuild it and did see that they only charged me $50 for the 4:30s and nothing for the tires. Should of done that before posting I guess! Sorry for the hassle and I will be in touch with you any day now regarding my loan. And I dont know if you faxed me yet about my trade (2000 F350)?
Thanks again.

No, they're on the phone to Warren, Mi comparing IT horror stories. Actually, I know the company here locally that does GM's software. GM never got it right until they finally gave up and sub'd the job out.
