bad performance

Hey all,
I have a '90 EB with a 351w e4od and 3.55 all stock. My problem is from the line, I know it's not a hotrod, but it seems to take alot of pedal to get going, more than my old bronco. When you get it up to about 2500rpm it pulls good. I am about to order shortie headers and the bassani Y pipe. You guys think this should help my lack of low end grunt? Also anybody who has the comp cams # 35-255-5, do you think it was worth the $$$ and how much low end do you feel you gained.

Thanks,
Jamie

All I know is my 351 96' is all low end grunt. All torque-no high rpm hp. If your low end is gone somethings wrong. Unfortunetly I'm no expert to what the issue could be. I do know I added Bassani's headers and it seemed to smooth out the power in all ranges. It felt like it took a little off the bottom end and moved the power band upward. All in all my favorite mod yet. Good luck, I know someone with more knowledge will come along and help you get it figured out.

you may want to look into some new gears. That would give you a big power gain. Maybe 4.11 gears. If your gonna do a cam I believe you need to do other stuff like heads and intake first. Headers and a y-pipe are very good and you may want to get a bbk 56mm throttle body also.
