how to hook up msd box

i am going to hook up a 6a msd box to an 81 f100 with duraspark. do i need to take the resister out of the wiring for this to work right or what do i need to do for the install.

These are two links to the msd site on how to wire it up. In both cases they use the original coil wiring which would mean they are using the resistor.

The first link basically leaves the original ignition hooked up and functioning. The MSD box is just piggy backed onto the original system so it can drive the coil.

The second link shows it hooked up to the magnetic trigger of the msd, which eliminates the duraspark box, but it looks like you have to do a little wiring modifications or buy their harness.

Do you have acrobat reader? Do a search on yahoo or somewhere else and type in "free acrobat reader". You should be able to download it and then you can see any files with a .pdf on the end.
