Is it wrong that a 46 year old man still thinks this is as much fun as when I was 16?
To quote Jimmy Buffett "I'm Growing older but not up!"
I want to see more! Post em!
i wish i had some of any of my 4 vehicles! kinda need to get over the wheel hop on the one that can actually spin them that well, stupid lift blocks... maybe someday i will have pics of my friends 65 roasting them off...after he loses the weak smoking 300 and slipping clutch. im almost feeling sorry enough to buy him the 460/4 gear!
did the panhard bar help w/ anything? and what do 8.40's turn into in the 1/4? how much power? and how many grins per mile does it get?
The bar really helped with body roll. The thing wallowed like a pig before I put it on.
I get lots of smiles per mile, just not too many miles...
The conversion charts I've seen posted put 8.40's somewhere around mid 13's in the quarter at just under 100. I'll see if I can find a formula for how many HP it takes to push a 4000 lb brick to those times. There's a 1/4 mile track about an hour and a half from me. If I ever get down there I'll post my times.
My 5000 lb Lightning usually runs mid 13's at about 102 on 450 hp, but it's also got about 550 ft-lbs of torque. A 4000 lb truck could probably do it with 75 or 80 fewer hp as long as there was still lots of torque.
