They're all allocated- it just depends on whether the numbers reach your dealerships needs or not. The main factor in allocation calculations is days supply, based on prior sales history. That's the easy part- the stinker is when your given allocation comes up (weekly), there may be matierial shortages on given models or equipment. Say you earned 5 SD's, but the week they're placed, 6.0's are on the shortage list. If you give up the trucks because you wanted 6.0's instead of gas versions, those trucks could be lost forever.
It get's really fun if there's multiple shortages on an allocated unit. A situation we're dealing with up here is Lariat/KR in combination with PSD's in Screws. At the time these orders were placed, you could drop down to a XLT to get a PSD order built, or change to a gas motor to keep the Lariat/KR Pkg. You won't hear too much on allocations unless it's a hard-to-get unit. Example, Rangers are allocated, but the numbers easily meet our needs.
edit: Those comments relate to stock dealer orders. Sold customer orders are impacted by the same allocation restrictions, but are not "changed" to match production capabilities. If you have a vehicle ordered, and it's taking longer than anticipated, most likely the cause is certain equipment that was ordered and is in a shortage status.

Polarbear, do you know anything about 18" wheel shortages? I ordered my SD in Nov and still don't have it due to the 18" wheels. My production date is 11 Apr. Does it look like it will happen or will I still be a Super Duty wana be owner? 19 Weeks and waiting!
If they've got a production date, it should happen. Remember, build date is always a Monday, ship date is always a Friday, and there's a black hole of information from shipping to dealership.
18" wheels are still a headache, but PSD's are a migraine- that's the real issue right now.
Thanks!! Dealer says it should be here in 7-10 days. That puts me after the April 4 cut-off for cash back so I'm just praying FMC either keeps cash back the same or maybe even sweetens the pot!!!! How long do you think it will take them to update fordvehicles.com with the new offers after April 4?
No worries now! Dealer just called and it was delivered this AM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3 weeks to the day since I placed the order.....I think a new record for the dealer.
250 KR 4x4 crewcab PSD LOADED!!!!!!!! So excited I can barely type!!! gotta go!
Just a semi-random thought, but I wish you could get packages like KR, HD and the 06 Amarillo package on SuperCabs as well as crew cabs. Anybody else feel the same?
