Burbling sound

it is air in the cooling system, the burbling sound you hear is coming from the heater core, under the dash. when you shut off the engine the water goes back to the lowest point, and gurgles out of the heater core.
mine made this sound when my heater core was leaking, but you could have a leak somewhere else, like a freeze plug maybe?
