OK no problem then. thanx for the help. I am actually slowly building a sub setup. Started with my friends old parts and working my way up and buying my own.
The box i got from my friend is made of 3/4" plywood, i am wondering if to get a lil more volume out of the box would it affect the sound quality if I were to use 1/2" plywood.
Use MDF not regular plywood. 1/2" is not a good idea, especially if its a 10" sub or bigger. The box could flex or even shatter under high SPL's. Ployfill (pillow stuffing) inside the box about 1/3 full can sometimes make a big difference.
