Exhaust manifolds

Do the late 80's trucks use the same exhaust manifolds as Bronco's?

1979 F150 Custom: 75 351W, Edelbrock & Holley
1987 F150 XLT Lariat: 88 351W EFI
Chevy 454: waiting for a truck (Mazda?Nissan?)

I think as long as you are speaking of staying in the same year ranges then yes they do.

80-86, 87-91, 92-96
Of course you also have to look at whether or not the manifolds have the air injection into them, or into the pipe between the cats. I had a hard time finding a manifold for my truck, and then when I found one they wanted $80 for it. Plus it was almost an hour away for me to go get it. And that was one way.

So I ordered a pair of shorty headers, and I'm totally satisfied now. I spent $160 on a pair of Summit Racing Shorty Truck Headers and I have yet to have a problem out of them. Save for the header gaskets blowing out, but the gaskets they sent with them were fiber, and the best ones are metal.

1988 F-150, SWB, 5.0 EFI (formerly 4.9 EFI), M5OD 5 speed, 3.08 gears, Summit shorty truck headers, Custom built Flowmaster exhaust system. Force 4 LP6000 lightbar, Federal signal PA-300 100 watt siren, Icom IC-V100 50 watt mobile radio.
=======================================
1965 F-100 (just purchased 1/18/01), SWB, 390, C-6 auto. Dual exhaust, Not much else to do to it.

Can see both below.

Exhaust manifolds

When I first got my 87 it had a 302 in it and the passenger side manifold was all cracked and instead of buying a new one I got a set of Mustang headers for free and Midas modified my y-pipe to mate up to them all for cheaper than a new manifold.

I was going to go the mustang header route, but I looked at how badly crimped they were from the factory and said forget it. THe headers I have now are not crimped anywhere in the tubes.
