Hello everyone. i'm new here to these forums. i have a 93 F-250 4X4 with a 351 and a 5-speed. i was wanting to know what kind of tranny, transfer case, and front and rear axles i have. i noticed there was a 50 stamped under the case on the front end. is this a dana 50 IFS i have?
You have a ZF 5 speed tranny, a BW 1356 (probably slip yoke) transfer case, a 10.25" rear axle, and it sounds like a Dana 50 TTB front end.
The 10.25" is probably the full-floater, but it could be a semi floater if you have a light duty F-250. You can tell by the GVWR. If it's ovevr 8500 lbs, you have the heavy duty version and the stronger full-floating rear axle.
I have the same question, except I know next to nothing. I have a 2wd 95 F150 5L v8 automatic. I'm curious about what kind of transfer case I have, differentials, etc. I am considering a powertrax no slip to help driving in rain/snow, moderate off-road and towing. I don't know what kind of upgrades I'm looking at though, so any help would be appreciated.
it is a heavy duty. is the tranny just called a ZF? does anyone make a aftermarket shifter for it? Thanks guys.
ZF model S5-42 If you look at the tag on the side of the tranny, it will probably say Ford part no. F2TA PA and ZF part no. 1307 050 079. There are no aftermarket shifters available for the ZF tranny.

This really needs to be a completely different thread. When two people start asking questions in the same thread, it gets extremely confusing, because no one's really sure whose question is being answered.
Post your question as a new thread, and someone will be happy to answer your questions.
