well the mud I was in was super nasty **** so as soon as the tires broke free of the suction is was basically the same as if I had the truck jacked up in the air, and yea you can reach 8 grand if there is no friction on the tires......but I don't recommend it
I just ordered my new rocker arms from the good folks down at Rocker Arm Specialist. While ordering the shafts I was telling them I was in the service, Navy, stationed overseas. After I gave him my address and stuff he (Brent) said "OK, that's it." And I said "wait, don't you want my Visa number?" to which he told me "No, don't need it. I'll have this sent to you as soon as possible"
I've pulled apart only a few FE's, but each one, even totally bone-stock, had different length pushrods on some of the valves. So, if you don't use adjustable rockers, you need to go through the painstaking "adjustment" process even on an original motor, if you want things to last a long time.
Humm, never heard of this? With my '76 F150 4x4 360FE...when I upgraded to the 390FE, I broke down the 360 (factory original) just for fun and to see the inner workings of the FE. I do not remember having different length pushrods. Mine were all the same lenght. Just my .02 here.
The FE's in question: Were they car or truck? Size: 352, 360, 390, 428, etc.? Really curious about hearing this...

biz
360's mostly... it's possible they were worked on before, but they looked like they had never been touched. I have a '67 390 in my garage, that ALSO had a few different-length pushrods... But, that had been worked on, it has hardened exhaust seats
hey just an update to all that helped.
I blew a lifter but am also installing a comp 252H cam a 390 gt intake and a holley 600cfm. Thanks for the davise and if anyone has any HP estimates that would be appreciated
