Hello Guys, this is my first post.
My problem is that when running in OD and starting up a long grade transmission will jump out of OD into netural, have to touch brake or turn off OD button before tranny will reengage. Any help will be great.

I should have also added that this happens above 55 mph, and running empty, also I cleaned the MAF element with carb cleaner and that helped for a short time, could it be that I need to replace the MAF?

5.0 E4OD, right? Have you tried pulling the codes to see what's stored in the computer? If not, I'd go ahead and do that to see what the computer will tell you. Go to http://fordfuelinjection.com and click on "initiating a self test"

Thanks Popa Tim the engine is :5.0 EFI 302 V-8 Gas--tranmission code is "U".
I recently had codes checked and was told that they were OK, showed no problem, I'm not a mech. not even a shade tree one, but had a new tran. and TQ installed 12,000 miles ago by a tran. shop this did not solve the problem. as a matter of fact I have had codes checked at two different shops and both said was OK.
