Postings about Ford trucks/SUVs that are covered by one or more of the forum sections that are posted in this section are REMOVED.
I think the section states it pretty clearly:
General Conversation
Please use this forum to discuss non-Ford truck related topics.
People who expect an explanation of why their postings are moved can't expect that courtesy when they've turned off both their private inbox here and email notification.......

Did not mean to cause a misunderstanding, I was unaware that the general discussion section was not to include post's about Ford trucks or suv's. Appreciate the response
I second this one.. I thought that general conversation meant general conversation... and could include anything.. Whether it be about ford, chevy, women. kids.. etc... This is a Ford site and if you are posting a genral question about all Ford trucks you should be able to post it in the General Conversation area.. if this is not the case please let us all know...
49 Ford F-1 on 73 Ford F-250 3/4 ton 360/435/205 4 wheel drive chasis.
My posting was not directed at any person in particular. The General Conversation forum description states:
General Conversation
"Please use this forum to discuss non-Ford truck related topics."
I'm not trying to be mean, far from it. I want open conversation. However, if someone visits our site and wants to find out information about their 1986 F250 they'll head over to the 1980-1986 section. They are unlikely to find the information they want in another section. By posting information about just any ol' truck/suv in the general conversation section, it makes it harder on the next guy who visits looking for information because he won't find the previous answers in the section he's looking in.
Splitting things up into very narrow sections allows visitors to find answers quickly, keeps things well organised (especially as the boards get larger and larger) and allow people to view indexes of only what they are interested in.
Hope that made sense....

(mostly because I didn't look far enough to spot the forum, Heh...)
I can see someone wanting to mention a truck topic, and seeing where it spun off to...
But Ken has a point, we range far and wide as it is, and it would be no-time at all before the general board turned into a complete un-navigable hodge-podge of all kinds of postings.
But a new person here would need a bit of time to see Ken's answer so they would realise where their resource actually is.
This (am I right?) is why Ken locks the thread first, and then after a while deletes it. It's so the person looking for an answer can see where they should look for it...
Yup... that's why I lock em.... thanks for the kudos... its going to get even cooler once the gallery framework is it place (being beta tested now). Version two of the gallery (already being planned) will be even better.
