Thumbs up Thanks for helping mstarr

If you'll recall, I've been having problems w/ the rear fuel tank on my 1986 F250 not switching on. After listening to mstarr, I checked the selector valve. It seems to funtion, as I can feel it click when I put my hand on it while the switch is flipped. This leads to the rear fuel pump. First, to make sure it isn't anything stupid, I trace the wiring. It's all sound. I run a jumper to it, and nothing. So instead of a $180 selector valve, I only have to spend $60 on a new pump and strainer. I thank you, mstarr, for helping me locate the problem. Now, anyone wanna help me drop the tank?

Its supposed to be easier to lift the bed,and do the work from up top. and if your gonna lift the bed, you might as well do both tanks.

I'll do it the hard way, because I don't want to have to deal with the ball being in the way(gooseneck). The front is in great shape, supposedly just replaced, so I'll do the rear.

actually on these trucks by the time you get the bed removed (bed bolts probably need to be tourched off, the taillight wiring, etc) you can have the tank dropped and fuel pump taken out.
