66 Bumper Guards

66 Bumper Guards
I recently saw a 65 F-100 with two small bumper guards that fit on top of the chrome bumper. These bumper guards were all chrome and looked like original equipment. Was this an option? Were these same bumper guards also used on the 66 F-100? Thanks.

Do these guards come down around the front with a rubber pad on the top? I looked in my parts books and the only show guards for the front from 67 and on. These actually fit from 64 and on. THese are the same ones used up until 1976. What you're describing almost sounds like the little guards or step they had on the 65-66 Ford station wagons in the rear. Too bad you didn't get a pic, it would be interesting to see what they look like.

No rubber pads. All chrome small almost like the top portion of the ones you are describing except maybe a little wider and no rubber. They look like they fit just perfect on top of the stock chrome bumper. I was thinking about getting them since he is parting out the truck if they used them on 65, 66 F-100.

That's a strange one. If they're not too much$$, get them. Take a pic and post it. I'd like to see these. You've got my curiosity up. Maybe there's a stamping number underneath to help I D them.
