Enough already man, give it up. I mean #####, I get your point and in no way did I intend to make you feel like i was trying to get an enemy. I thought this place was to help people out with questions that they posted not question their questions. Give it up. That is all.
Wait a minute here. All we did was ask a simple question. Get it, good. Now that that is settled. How much is the nitrous kit? I am looking right now at a 5.0 nitrous kit 50-175 shot that runs $499. For that price you could probably add a cam, and a good set of headers, not to mention the ignition upgrades to go along with it. And you wouldn't trash the engine nearly as bad for the next owner. If you sell it.

you bust on me for like 12 replies and now you want some info on nitros, damn your hardcore. Anyways, I have not seen exact prices but i do know that they very per engine type, try NOS website or headmen. Also how much would it cost for a MSD type ignition kit? I have heard their pretty expensive and do u know if they make them for my size engine or could i just u the 302 model. that is all.
You are too much, you go from one extreme to the other!
MSD will run you, $45 for the MSD TFI Coil, $130 for the box, and $15 for the wiring harness.
Don't berate me because I asked a question. You snapped, I made a comment, and you snapped again. Leave it alone! If you want help, fine, but don't keep harping on this!

I think there was also a thread about supercharging an I6 in the Inline Six forum... Sounds like a fun idea for someone who would want to invest the time and money... And it would probably give you some bragging rights...
But there is definitely the factor that those things do NOT like high RPM's... at around 4000 or 4500 they sound and feel like they're gonna tear themselves apart, around 5000 or 6000 they probably would. But i would still take one over a 302 any day just because they're so simple and have so much damn torque... If i were to get a V-8 it would probably be a windsor. Not trying to beef anyone off, just my humble opinion.

they make supercharger kits for a model that old (1989). It just seems today that they are mostly for new toyota's and such. I would love to have one though cause they can pack on a lot of horses, do you know how much they cost? and where one could get it? Thanx for the insight, very useful.
Hey Man, You might want to check with Paxton. They make superchargers for everything it seems. They make a good product as well. I talked to a guy with a 91 5.0 lx mustang with a paxton a while back (I was thinking of putting one on a 90 F150 5.8/5 speed at the time) Sounds like a big improvement to me.
dangit brad there you go again about that F-150 with 5.8 and 5-speed, you know I've still be looking around, not as intently, and CAN'T find one! aww man...why did you sell it...why?
Rayvin_, if I were you, I would put in a bigger cam headers ignition do the ignition last as it doesn't make actual horsepower try different injectors if it is injected. and see what happens if that isn't enough then try the juice the super charger for a mustang is around $2500-$3000 way to much money wait till they come down a little in price. You might even want to try a gear swap (a little more bottom end) Oh, and if you change injectors go with a fuel regulator too. it makes a difference. When I first asked why you wanted to do this it was only because I needed to know what you were up against to give you an intelligent answer not to bust your chops. that is why we ask questions when you post a question. John
I have been told about putting on new injectors, V8 stangs or Expo's, but it seems like a pretty big job. How hard is it to do and how much and how many injectors do you need. And the reason that I replied about questioning me is that all i had gotten was questions and no help but thanx anyways, and if you know that hotrodford guy, tell him to chill if someone replies to his question with a little grissel, I in no way put you or him down, nor was trying to. Thanx
It was a fit of stupidity Kevin! lol. I thought they made them like that all the time until I started hanging out here. My typical luck. Maybe someone here has it!. Here goes.
1990 F150 XLT Lariat. White with blue pinstriping. Medium Blue interior. A/C,Cruise, tilt, Power windows, Power Locks. Alpine Stereo. 5.8 liter, 5 speed. Regular cab, short box. Sliding rear window, Tinted windows.
Distinguishing factors.
Hooker super comp headers (HTC coated), Dynomax High flow 2.5 inch cats, Stainless 2.5 inch exhaust with flowmasters exiting out behind the rear wheels. Mild Cam (don't remember the specs have to look them up), Hypertech chip, MSD 6AL ignition. 15x8 aluminum slots all the way around. When I sold it I had almost new Hoosier Radial GT's on it (255/60R-15 on front, 275/60R-15 on back)K&N filter charger.
She had 2 dents when I sold her. One on the drivers side about eye level on the post behind the doos where a softball hit it and one on the passenger side lower front box side (small crease) where an old timer in a late 70's Buick hit it.
The plate number at the time I sold it was: Texas 8619UH. If anyone has it let me know. I would love to have her back. It is needed for my sick self. (cough cough)I sold it in 99 because I needed an extended cab for the family. the 97 I replaced it with turned out to be a flop.

Not to cause any undo friction here but from my point of view Hotrod was just asking a question and you popped off at him. No one was putting you down for it just wanting to know why. Gotta admit it is an unusual request. It was only the 4th post into the thread that you lost your cool and popped off. We are all willing to help if we can but truth be known we just don't know much about juicing a 300. From what I read everyone tried to give you as much help as possible. I offered what I know. Your comment about buying a mitsu and blowing the doors off of all the big Ford trucks did not sit well with many folks either. It came of sounding wrong. Like I said earlier, I am not here to critisize or cause any undo friction between us because you have been decent to me. I do feel that you might need to chill out a little though and give people the benifit of the doubt. Just some friendly advice. Take it easy and good luck with your Truck. Let me know how it turns out.
