Ok guys its been a couple of weeks since my last post!.I had the latest TSB work done approx.4 weeks ago for vibration/nibble. The dealer out sourced the "road forcing" cause they dont have the machine. The manager said its smooth as glass now,so I picked it up. I drove it around for a couple of weeks and come to find out The steering wheel nibble is back,it comes and goes but its definately there. The vibration is back, especially between 45-55 mph.The dealer keeps telling me its the tires and that its normal. Its really bad when u first drive the truck. Then after they road forced my tires I found my front rim lip all dented from where they removed the weight. Again they told me this will happen when u rebalance tires. So im getting a little p&$##,,dont know what my next step should be,my truck has 19000 miles on it now.So if anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it.
It's not normal because I don't have it, and never did! 2004 Lariat SCREW 4x2, 5.4 3:73 gears.
BTW, Ford sent out an extended warranty on the new F200 thru 2005 F150. They extended the tire and wear warranty till 36,000 miles not 12,000 as originally set. This was done to fix problems evolving around the tires. I suggest you mention the tires are under extended warranty, and if he is so insistant on the tires causing it, you want new tires under the new warrany extension policy!
Good point KevinM. I personally know three people with the same truck '04 and '05 F150 Supercrew Lariat 5.4L (2) 3.73, (1) 3.55 and none of us have had any such problem. A lot of people complain on here, but I have never personally met anyone with the problem, so it is not normal.
