Hey guys I need some help and I don't mean to hijack this post, but I have a 2003 6.8L v-10 250. I have already bought the hypertech programmer(prior to finding this site). Now I need some recommendations on the best towing and MPG combination. Ie what do I set the rev limiter at, what octane etc????? Thanks for any help Damon

Unfortunately, I don't have enough experience with the recent offerings to give an informed answer. Generally speaking though I wouldn't go more than 100-150 over stock shift points or mileage will tank and best mileage is with premium.

Don't know about your V10 but for my 4.6 V8 I use the 87 octane program for non towing duty and get 2 mpg better fuel economy (From 13 to 15 on winter gas) as well as much better performance. I just firmed up the shifts and did not change the shift points. For towing I use the 93 tuning which makes a WORLD of difference and adds 2 MPG (from 8 to 10).
