The filter is located on the drivers side, just about where the back of your cab is, on the inside of the truck's frame. Crawl under and look up in the frame, you can't miss it. It is an inline filter mounted to the frame. Easy job, even with the kind of tight space. The metal scissor type tool worked much better for me than the cheaper plastic tool.

You can get a filter at any parts house. I have got them from NAPA, Advance and Autozone.

Yea, there are lots of fuel filters...I would trust most any product line that carries them...just get one for you year model and engine. Also, if you haven't already changed it, make sure you look at which way the old one is facing before you take it off and put the new one on the same way...obviously common sense, but I'd hate to see you put a fuel filter on backwards!

Arrow towards the engine>>> Fuel flow.

Joe, what are you doing here, Mr. V8?

Nope, no mods yet...wanting some badly though. I really want to give this engine some more get up and go power.

I've been in the 4.6/5.4 forums...they seem a bit on the "wiser/mature/etc.etc." side of things. We are pretty much totally unique here.
