What is the air evaporation system? Are you talking about the smog pump? If so, try a quick search for smog pump removal. There are some good threads from a while back that might be helpful.
The air evaporation system is the charcoal cannister and sealed fuel tank. The intent is to keep the volatile organic compounds from evaporating out of your gas tank and turning into photochemical smog. There is no benefit, and several problems, in attempting to remove it.
The air pump system is something different. It is intended to oxidize unburned HC and CO from your engine. At cold start, air is injected into the exhaust ports, where it accelerates burning, just like blowing on a campfire. Once the engine is warmed up, the air delivery is switched to the catalytic converter, where the excess oxygen assists the converter in oxidizing the pollutants. It does not make sense to remove this system unless significant parts of it are missing or broken. It only costs about 1 HP to run the pump. Some owners object to the clutter of plumbing, and want to remove it for that reason, but you need to know what you are doing or the engine will run worse.
