trans swap ?

I am swapping out the AOD in favor of a C6 in my 351W powered 82 shortbed(117"WB). What parts will be different between the two. Drive shaft and trans cooler lines for sure. Shifter linkage and brackets? Flex plate?
Also does anybody have a drive shaft to fit my C6 and 9" combo?
Thanks for any help.

You can use the same linkage, but the driveshaft is different. The trans lines, will have to modified. The flywheel should be the same. Cross memeber is the same, dont know about the mount. Other than that, you should just be able to bolt up.

The linkage is different on my AOD than my C6's. You will need about a 3" longer driveshaft with a different yoke. The mount is in a slightly different position (within half an inch though) but shouldn't pose a problem if your tranny crossmember is slotted.

Actually the C-6 is 3 inches longer so you will need a shorter driveshaft, the crossmember is fine, the flywheel is the same the linkage will work but may not work perfect i wrapped a piece of tie wire around the groove that thats held in by the plastic bushing to hold it in the bellcrank and it worked fine, you will have to re-wire the safety nuetral switch and run a vacuum line down there

Yes, you're right. I keep thinking the opposite way because that's what I'm going to do to my truck.
