ccv mod?

The mod basicaly routes the crank case gasses to the atmosphere instead of having the engine burn them, it also eliminates the oily build up on your intercooler boots.
You will need a piece of PVC pipe, 3" pvc and one 22* elbow work great. a phillips screw driver, a straight screw driver, I think it's a 10 MM socket, approx. 15-20 feet of 3/4" heater hose three hose clamps, a 3/4" 90* BRASS elbow, a few zip ties and about an hour of time.
There is a cast metal piece in the intake over the valve cover, remove the two 10 MM bolts that hold it to the bracket, I don't remember the size socket required to take the braket off the valve cover. once removed there is a 5x2 inche square piece on the vavle cover, take the two phillips screw out of it, and turn it around so the nipple on it faces the fire wall, reinstall, be sure to have the o-rings under it in the proper place. take a 2" piece of the heater hose, attach it to the nipple, attach the brass elbow to the other end, attach heater hose to other side of brass elbow, route the heater hose up over the brake booster, then down to the frame. you can terminate the hose where ever you want, just zip tie it to the wire and line down there on the frame, but keep in mind that alot of stinky mist is goin to come out if it.
use the piece of PVC pipe to replace the metal part of the intake you took out, the 22* elbow will fit nicely in the boot off the air box, the 3" will fit right in the boot off the turbo.
Happy modding. I will answer any other questions you can think of involved with this mod.

Sorry. I might have one in my pics that shows my intake, no CCV mod pics. and being that it is almost 11PM you will have to wait till tomorrow evening before I can get some taken and posted. unless someone else post first. but look back for mine tomorrow around 6PM, my time.
Here is a pic of the intake. you can see the clear hose goin over the brake booster, and the CCV on the valve cover turned around facing the firewall http://community.webshots.com/photo/...06574455eGtEWG
Here's a pic of my CCV at my rear bumper. clear hose goes all the way to the bumper, zip tied to the wiring harness that run the same path. http://community.webshots.com/photo/...06564420OBsZtA
thats all I got right now.

DRod, had one more question for you too. I read on another post that you said you disconnected your EBPV (I think it is called). How do you do this? I have a 2002 that I put a Walker BTM on and it gets pretty loud when the EBPV kicks in.

I love the airbags!!!!! they really make the ride sweet, towing my 5er or empty. No I did not get the front bags, just the rear. I recommend them. Alos spemd a little extra money and get the onboard compressor and incab controls/gauges. Worth every penny. and momma is comfy when she rides too.

Sorry guys, no pics yet. I fergot I had a trainig drill for the F.D. tonite, just got home, maybe tomorrow. but thats not lookind good either.
Right in front of the front, drivers side, turbo pedistal bolt is a two wire connector, disconnecting it will prevent the EBPV from actuating. its kinda hiding between the turbo and the fuel bowl.

That is what I am gunna do. not so much a vacume port, just a port into the exhaust, but I would think that the exhaust will creat somewhat of a vacume effecton it. I am gunna weld the bung 90* to the exhaust flow, to help prevent both a pressure build up, and a vacume situation. I have a few check valves from old polution controled gassers, the A.I.R. injection stuff. should work for a CCV check valve into the exhaust.
