June Meeting

Okay............what are your suggestions for a June meeting location?

Our show/picnic will be at Kankakee River State Park for May.

I would be willing to give Danville a try for June, if the Indiana/Illinois meeting is off due to legal trouble at U.S. 41.

We would meet at the Pizza Hut located on Gilbert street.

Take I - 74 East to exit 215 to Gilbert st. NORTH to the Pizza Hut on your left hand side.

IF ..........we plan a meeting there and no one from Central or Southern Illinios attends, I have no choice but to plan meetings where our members atcually attend meetings.

IF............there is no interest in a Danville meeting, our June meeting
will be farther North to meet the needs of those members.

I hope our joint meeting with the Indiana Chapter is able to happen at U.S.41, but we should plan if the track is not open to us.

The Chapter Leader for the newly formed Indiana Chapter asks for an attendance number prior to each monthly meeting.

Perhaps Chris has a point there.

Maybe I should ask in advance who plans to attend a monthly meeting?

Location opinions?

We could have a meeting at U.S. 41 with the Indiana Chapter as a Chapter event?

We could have a meeting in Danville?

Speak up and voice your opinion.

Our joint Indiana/Illinois Chapter Midwest meeting at U.S. 41 on Sunday June the 26th is STILL a go!

We'll meet near the entrance to the spectator parking entrance on the EAST side of the parking lot.

From there we can watch the racing , chat, relax, etc.

Make plans to attend this first every Indiana/Illinois combined event!

We could simply use the joint "Midwest Meeting" with the Indiana chapter our monthly meeting or add Danville into the schedule. We need to hear from you if you will attend.

The joint meeting with the Indiana Chapter on June 26 at U.S. 41 sounds good! Carol and I will be there.

A step west of Indiana on I-74. Fortunately illinois is a skinny state. I'd rather drive from side to side than from top to bottom.

Danville is EAST of I - 57 on I - 74 close to the Indiana/Illinois border.

We would meet at the Pizza Hut in Danville at the address mentioned.

IF there is no interest, or members speaking up for the Danville meeting, the only June meeting will in the Midwest Meeting with the Indiana Chapter at U.S. 41 Drag Strip.

Speak you minds.

Well.............unless there is a surge of interest for a chapter meeting in Danville, ..............the Midwest Meeting with the Indiana Chapter members will then remain the chapter monthly meeting.

We are offering our Central and Southern Illinois members an opportunity to attend a Chapter meeting.

Should there be no interest or no new faces attending, we will be forced to plan accordingly in the future.

Voice your opinions with us.

The U.S. 41 meet is still on....................yet there has been virtually NO interest expressed here in this thread for a meeting in Danville.

Speak up everyone, We're trying to cover all the bases here, but need your help and participation.

We could try for a July 10th meeting in Arcola.......IF........members express interest.

If not, well..........I've already expressed what the result would be.

At this point in time, there appears to be no further interest in a Danville or Arcola meeting.

The U.S. 41 meeting in Indiana is our June meeting.

Unfortunately, June 26th is the day Carols' daughters fly back to Phoenix, so due to the fact that we'll be spending a good portion of the day at Midway airport, we will not be able to attend this months' meeting. I'm really sorry that we will not be able to go to the meeting, being that we haven't missed one yet, but unfortunately we can't be in two places at once. However, we do plan on attending the next two Friday night cruise nights at Stake 'N Shake in Tinley Park (weather permitting!!) if anybody wants to meet up there. We were planning on going to the Stake 'N Shake cruise nite last Friday, but it started raining here just as we were getting ready to leave.

Not to worry John..........You and Carol will have family to see off at the airport.

You and Carol's attendance record is an great example to all.

We know you'll both be there in spirit, we'll all have a good time watching the racing, though we'll mis you both.

My Sons and I may get up to Steak n Shake on Firday to take a look.
