The Box Code is the code on the computer, there are hundreds. 9497faq/geninfo/pcmcodes.php3
here is a link to them, not real informative, but it just shows how many there are.
What do you want done to it, and what is the stock code.

what i wondering is, when I am going down hill and apply the brakes my rpms drop 400-500, but then go back up when I come off the brakes. 444dieselrod said that a box code controls that, I was thinking about trying to change it if can be done. I have a 2000 psd auto 4x4 sc lwb.

Yes I did say that, I thought your name looked familiar.
I not real good with these box codes, know a little, but far from an expert. my '96 will unlock as soon as you return to idle, (its was a NAW4, its now a TDE1) as soon as the IVS circuit is activated. can be doing 80 and it will do this. there are SOME that keep the converter locked until the vehicle is down to like 35-40 on or off the brakes. I dont know the exact code, just have heard of it. being that you have a SD I dont have much experience with these, more of an OBS man. I have never heard of one that will relock as soon as your off the brakes, thats new to me. my suggestion is to keep asking questions about it, see if anyone elses does the same thing. in any case a dealer might even know, but that would be one of my later people to ask about it.
IMO Quadzilla is the one to ask, he might know the code that does this.
Get yourself a small mirror and under the brake booster near the fender well you will see a bunch of wires goin into the firewall, put the mirror between the fender and the harness and see if you can read the code thats on your box, it will be backwards in the mirror. it would be a good thing to know.
