Was the home of one of the Cannonball runs, where people used to tear down from Darwin to Alice Springs (almost 1000miles) at full noise the whole way on an OPEN public road...
You are right though, the rest of Australia has some rather draconian speeding laws, and lots of police to enforce them, but thats another thread.

Sure that was real. I have seen the XB Falcon coupe to prove it (Max's car)
