272 motor
My DAD has a old 272 laying out back of his house under a tree.Motor rebuilder told him that was the best way to keep them.Say what.anyway dad said he thinks they only came out in 55-56 and only in trucks. anyone know?

I guess it depends where that tree is located. Up here that is a sure recipe for a cracked block. Around here they are stuffed upside down in sheds, barns, car trunks, etc.
Ive also heard rumors that some stripped down 58 F100's had the 272. In 57 they were the stock V8 in the 300 series cars.

He has it upside down .anyone need any parts?He said he would take $50.00 for it.it is complete less one exhaust manifold.has both 272 and 292 intake manifold.he is in Hannibal Mo.
