I have a 1982 F150 with a 351 windsor and a 9 inch 10 bolt in the rear. I am wondering what my rear ratio is. Is there some sort of ID stamped on it? I have a C6 trans and I turn 3400 rpm@ 70 mph with stock tire size. Any input would be appreciated.

Reason: dunno
When you open the drivers door you should see a white tag affixed inside the door jamb (not the door)
There you will find a section at the bottom of the tag labeled "axle"
Give us the #'s in the axle box
Steve G.
Much appreciated! When I was under the truck bleeding the brakes I looked for a tag on the axle, but didn't find one. You wouldn't happen to have anything in the manual on cylinder head castings, would you?
The factory manual does not but I have other books that will break them down.
What you might want to do is post your casting #'s on the 351W forum.
I am positive you will get feedback there!
Steve G.
