351w or 351m

Hi, Hope I am in the right forum. I need to buy a rebuilt transmission for my 1990 F250 supercab but the parts store needs to know which engine I have. a 351w or 351 m. On the intake manifold is stamped 5.8 L efi and a sticker on the hood says "engine certified for use in heavy duty vehicles only, nothing about 351w or m. Any help appreciated. Sorry if I got the wrong forum

Equiped from the factory with the 351W. The M-blocks were fazed out in '82 if I remember right.

351w valve covers

351w and all small block fords share the 6 bolt per side valve cover bolt arrangement. If your valve covers have 6 bolts and it is a 5.8 it is a 351w. Lucky!
