Vin Number
I Purchased A 37 Ford Paneltruck Over A Year Ago That Needs To Be Restored. I Need To Get A Restoration Tag For The Truck Before The City Tows It Away As Junk And Destroys It. The Front End Has Been Chopped Off And A Mustang Ii Front-end Was Installed. In The Process The Vin Number Was Destroyed From The Firewall Also. Is There Another Place That The Vin Could Be. I Do Not Have A Title. It Was Lost. Desperate. Thanks

Hey Fireside! Welcome to FTE!
The usual spot for trucks of this age for the VIN is right on top of the frame rail next to the steering box. You said that the front end was chopped off so hopefully that doesn't mean right there. Other wise the VIN would be on the origional engine's head and maybe the top of the bellhousing. Hope this helps and hope that we see you around some more!
