I was putting a cd player in my mom's 92 f150 and i couldn't get the passenger side of the radio to pop out, i had the removal tools. Has anybody had this happen to them? ANy ideas? thanx

Were you pulling it out square or were you pulling the left side out first if so it probably wont come out, trying pulling on the right side first , pull hard worst case scenario you break a factory ford radio boo hoo

try pushing the radio back first then insert the u shaped tools..

The Ford tools are the easy way to do this, but if you want to do it the hard way, open the dash, in there you will have the clips for the XL-XLT strip on the front of the dash. You can then pry this off the dash to expose the screws for the heater controls. Remove this, and then you will be able to reach up and push the clips on the stereo from the side, and grab onto the back of it, and pull it out the front. I had to do this on mine, cause the previous owner had his stereo ripped off, and it bent the houseing for the stereo, and it wouldn't unclip properly.
