I would to update my already fixed up Excursion to a 2005. Since the new 4 wheel drive Excursions are now independent suspension, I believe the frame rails are different than my solid front axle. I would like to install the new headlights, bumper and grille. Is there any conversion kit or does anyone know of anyone that has successfully done this?
the 05 excursions doesnt have the independent suspension. the f250-350 control arms weren't put on the 05 excursion unfortunately. they still have the solid front axel.

Now that I have found out that it is just a coil spring versus a leaf spring difference does anyone know if the 05 bumper, grille and headlights will install on my 03?
Cebjr,
If you end up researching this further please update us as I have considered this myself, especially the 05 Harley truck grill. Its got the rectangular shape but instead of the large crosspieces its got the slim slats, kinda' like the billet inserts you can buy for other grills. Cool, really cool. I pulled my X nose-to- nose w/ a friends blue HD truck to try to get an idea of how it would look but its hard to do when one is blue and the other is mineral grey! I'm curious as to what cost will add up too! Thanks.
there is a thread over at dieselstop were a guy did this on his super duty, he has the part numbers and prices listed also. I have a black X and the black Harley grill and front end would look nice but I have other things to upgrade with the money first. I have been trying to talk my dad into putting the 05 front end on his 03 F350, that way I can see how it all goes in and looks before I do mine.
