PLEASE HELP!
I own a 96 F-150 4x4 and I need help. I have been hearing a noise in reverse. When the wheels are turned all the way to one side and I turn about one turn the opposite direction I hear a loud pop. I had a friend look under there, and he said that the rear of the front differential (where the driveshaft goes in) tilts up into the air when this noise occours. This is when it is two wheel drive, not four. Also I just had an alignment done about 2000mi. ago. Any ideas or thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Aarohnk, You may just be hearing the slap of the tie rod ends. I would check all steering components. While the truck is in PARK and running, have someone rock the steering wheel while you watch the steering links under the front of the truck. You may see something loose. Also check the front shock mounts and radius arm bushings. When it happend to me, it was a combination of the drag link and the passenger side tie rod end. Good luck.

PLEASE HELP!
My radius arm bushings look fine. How can you tell if they are shot? I'm wondering if one of my automatic hubs are locking in when I go in reverse and putting stress on the differential? Is this possible? Im reletively new to fords. Thanks for your replys
