Black88GT, Maybe it was mentioned earlier but are you going buy the calculator in the overhead console???? I trust those as far as I can throw myself, or were those actual calculater numbers.
in winter I am hard pressed to get 15 on winter blend, your numbers do sound low though. as for the filter if it has been awhile just change it, might as well if you are gunna pull the top and let all the diesel drain out of it, just as easy to put in a new one.

granted I drive an OBS, but from what I have read on hear,and talk to a few people with the SD there's are usually off by up to 5 MPG, and there usually lower so you could be getting closer to 15. have to calculate it out.

My 02's guessometer is pretty accurate. Within less than .3 all the times I doublechecked with a calc. Thats close enough for me. And even in filling up you can have that much error.
My fuel mileage does suck though. I get better riding around backroads than I do on the interstate. If I stayed at 55 it would be 17+. At 67.5, just under 2k rpm and 5% boost, I get around 18 on summer blend. If I hit 82 miles an hour, TWELVE POINT %, and that is empty!!
I just want someone to impeach W! Quit jacking fuel prices, diesel comes off the bottom of the barrel, well, just above kerosene, more expensive than gas, any one use any heating oil lately, nope almost april. Nuff of my shouting, it's still better than driving a foriegner.
