Regulator

I have a 1999 2.5 liter and the alternator will not charge the battery. I have installed a new battery,Alternator, and Belt. Is there a regulator someplace or is it built in the alternator. The volt meter indicates that the alternator is producing 12.1 volts. I had it tested at a auto parts store and they claim it is producing over 14 volts. Any ideas what the problem could be?

Thank You
Craig

There is a fuse under the hood called the battery junction box. Check fuse #11 (20 amp) and see if it's good.

There is also another 20 amp fuse #30 in the central junction box. This is the inside fuse box under the dash.

And also over near the starter relay you should have two grey fusible links. Make sure they are not burnt out.
