I need to start shopping for a wiring harness for my 56 and was wondering if you guys had any recommendations. I'm getting a universal kit due to the complexity and positioning of my wiring system. Has anyone heard anything about EZ Wiring's harness? They seem pretty cheap, and advertise in the big classic truck mags. Thanks
do a search on this topic and you will find a recent discussion on this. I used ez wire and its awesome...I know lots of high dollar truck using it also. Stuart
I've got a EZ kit.If you go to swap meets you can get some good deals from Vendors there. I got mine from Route 66 brand new at a swap meet for $135.00. the vender had them on sale to draw folks in.

To search just this forum, click on the Search link, but then click on advanced search. The options for which forums to search are on the lower-right. You can use all the normal boolean logic for searches like
+gear -transmission
means the thread must contain the word gear but can't contain the word transmission. Good luck and let us know if you have any further problems.
Thanks George, I just tried that and it worked great! I'm sure I'll have more problems and questions. It's nice to know you have friends that will help. By the way, do you know how to change a "user name".

I had the EZ Wire kit on my '59. I liked it a lot; easy to use and install; plenty of ports for all the doo-dads you could want; and the price was right! Tough to beat that combo, IMO....
By the way, do you know how to change a "user name".

X fordman,
There are consequences in this world young man. (Read that in a condescending fatherly tone for proper affect LOL)
You have to email FTE and tell them how you finally seent the light and tell them how sorry you are for dissing Fords. You may have to re-register and start over but I'm not sure you can do that with the same email address without a little help from FTE. Go to the forum lists and you will find the place to get the right answers.
That's what I did to get my old name back. I started as "thegman", got cancelled due to inactivity, went to "Panemal" for a long, long time....got cancelled due to inactivity. Went to pgayda, thought it sucked compared to the first 2 names, paid my $5000 transfer fee, promised to sell our 70 Chevy pickup, and got "thegman" back. I'm going to bug them again and get them to please change it to "theGman". Having "thegman" on the Club FTE site helped me consolidate the 2 names.
