Mine is a '65 F250, stock 352, C-6 and is running a 4:56!! I have run it towing all over the place and yes, the mpg sucks~8 w/o trailer, 5.5 w/ trailer, but I have no qualms about running 70 all day towing a 7000 lb trailer. I do have a 390 to go in when I have the time, and would then like to go with a 3:54 or 3:73.

Here we have evidence of maybe the greatest pleasure of owning a Slick--the ability to endlessly speculate about options and make plans to build a rig just to one's own needs and likes. A little harder to do with a modern truck, and less fun.

I love prowling the salvage yards. One of these days I'm gonna find a set of those Barney Flintstone wheels. Eliminate that empty-bed poor traction problem.
