difference in gear pullers

difference in gear pullers

I am going to get the 46 pc bolt puller set from harbor freight but i just noticed that they have two different ones. One has centering adapters and the other has tapered adapters. What is the difference in them? Is one easier to use or what? Which one should i get?

the tapered adapters work much better they sort of self align

And do not use an impact on them it is very easy to over load them and have them come apart. Greg

This is a stupid question but they can be used to reinstall what i pull of correct?
