transfer case fluid

transfer case fluid

just changed the fluid in the transfer case or at least drained out all that would come out only took little more than a quart to go back in and most of that was probably run off this sound right?

You should be OK. I replaced my transfer case fluid with synthetic tranny fluid. Check out therangerstation.com for tech info.

sounds to be in between you might need a little more
syn fluid works sometimes depends on usage.

speaking of fluids... what kind of oil you put in the differentials? i got confused with all this friction modifiers stuff. do you even need any and how hard is it to do it yourself? i got a '89 4x4 5 speed with auto hubs. any info will be apresiated.

Hypoid gear oil goes in the rear, check your owners manual for the specific weight. You only need the modifier if you have a posi.
