Can the vavles be adjusted on a 94.5 psd. Mine is running rough. I've been told the injector orings may need attention. I'm just no sure. O ring replacement looked alittle expensive when I checked into it. Thanks for any info!
A lot of possibilities for your PSD to be running rough. I doubt it has anything to do with valves but I could be wrong. Need some more info to narrow it down, but at first thought I'd say dirty fuel filter or air cleaner, CPS going bad, bad fuel, bad injector, injector o-rings, fuel pump, etc... Give some more inf on your truck and the exact symptons. Someone here can probably help, there are a lot of knowledgeable people on this forum. You can also use the search to look for your symptons also.
More info- Air filter is new, oil changed recently with rotella, tach does not appear to bounce (cps Good? i realize that is not the only symptom) fuel has come from different stations ( so have assumed fuel ok), Truck is a 94.5 without any mods to speak of. It cranks fine and will shutter a little sometimes when i let off the accellerator but has never died or given hint of.
Fuel filter was changed with the oil and did not seem to improve at all. (About 2K miles ago) It is missing at any speed. If I hold the pedal at any rpm you can still feel the miss or vibration. The miss is consistent with the speed of the engine. Oh and I did drain the fuel bowl when I changed the filter. (I let all of the fuel out by leaving the drain valve open that is.) What else can I tell? 1st owned diesel. That for you help.
My first thought was a burnt valve cover harness. With truck running you can unplug the 4 valve cover connections one at a time and see which connector makes the least difference. That will point you in a specfic direction.
