02 expedition hesitates slightly

02 expedition hesitates slightly
I have an 02 expedition (4.6)with 41,000 miles.It has had two times in the last 4 months not wanted to start from cold it just cranks.The check engine light does not come on at all.Then it started a slight hestiation when starting from a stop light.Today it ran with about 50% power for about 1 1/2 mile ride.When I got home turned it off and restarted it and it ran fine.Can anyone throw some ideas my way of what it might be?
