I have a 1978 F250 4x4, Dana 44 Front. It is a 3550 Lb. front axle. The last part of the vin is Y21855. I have been having a hard time finding the proper rotors for this truck, and those that I did find are pretty expensive. The rotors for a 77 1/2 to 79 do not fit, the hat height is too small. I have been able to locate some reasonably priced, except they are on the wrong coast.(California)
The hat height is 2"
The Diameter is 12 1/2"
The Friction width is 2 1/8"
Has anyone else had this problem. I have manual hubs, that bolt in with 6 large bolts, and was thinking about swapping to a newer style rotor / hub with the splined locking hubs, that uses the small screws / clip to hold the locking hub in place, but I can not figure out if this swap would work or not with my spindles.
Anyone have any idea's on rotors or the swap idea ?
