Rear end lift?

I just installed an autospring 2" lift on my 04 reg cab 8' bed. Now the rear is too low. This is probably due to the leer cap and approx. 500 lbs. of tools I drag around. What is the best way to lift the rear end? My first thought is to remove the factory blocks and replace them with 4" spacers. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

1.5" Add-A-Leaf will help with the weight!

I also installed the 2" auto spring with similar results. The truck sits 1/4 inch higher in the back. I was expecting it to be 1"higher in the rear. If I add leafs it will stiffen the ride. The back of my truck is usually empty and I have a Access roll up cover(very lite). I think a 1" spacer would work best. I haven"t found anyone selling them. Plus a block & bolts are pretty cheap.

Years ago I took a set of blocks to a machinist and had him shave them down to the size I needed and had a leaf spring company make up the u bolts .It would be nice to by it in a kit but can be done on your own with a little running around. Just an idea good luck.

I raised the front because I was always bottoming out. I drive mostly on dirt roads and jobsites and the skidplate and lower A arms would plow through the mud and slush. This no longer happens. Other than that ,
the ride is the same.

I also would like to know what can be done to raise the rear end. I just installed a 2.5" Daystar lift on my 4x2. It looks great and I love the look the front has now but the rear is now 1/4" lower than the front. I'd like the back to be maybe 1" or 1.5" higher. What is the best product for me and where can I get it?

Here's a related question. Does anyone know what causes the 4WD F150's to be higher in the back than the 4x2? Is it the springs? If it is, couldn't the 4x2 springs be replaced with the 4WD springs to raise the back?

Thanks.
