'm putting a GM steering box on my 48.I can't find anyone that makes a kit for 48-52.sacramento ford has the GM kit and are working on a kit for toyota.but is still in the drawing board stage. The GM kit is$300.00 plus shiping. and you need to get a steering box.

I have not installed mine yet.I'm getting a steering box off a 72 ch***y.took me some time to figure out how this kit works. If you order one make sure to tell them you want instructions.it will save you alot of time.it didn't bolt the way I thought it did.but it's looks easy now.I'm going to take lots of pics.so if you need any help just yell.that is if you don't get yours done frist.my wife says I have to do the honey do list frist.Dang list anyway! The Toyota steering box works on the F1, you just have to drill the frame to match the 53-56 mount adapter which is drilled for the F100 frame.

Have you put a toyota on a F1? Do you have pics?Wish I'd known before I got my GM kit.All the places I called said there was no kit that would work to put toyota steering on my 48 F1. I should have found this site earlyer. Anyone run a GM setup?

No, I have the Toy box in my 56 Panel, but others here have done it.
