I have heard that the 94 and 95 4.9L are not worth rebuilding, because they were built with skimpy blocks. I have a 95 that needs to be rebuilt. Should I trash it and find a 93 or earlier block. Anyone heard anything like this before?

 

Never heard that before. It's not like Ford would have changed the block design they'd been using for 30 years in '94 and '95, went back to it in '96 and '97, and then discontinued the motor.
