I drive my bronco every day and only want to put a 2" lift and 33's, I will move the bumper out if I ned to for clearence. Who sells the best 2" lift, not the cheapest but the best. Kevin
I've got a 3" from broncograveyard.com I would recommend getting factory bushings and bigger bolts and washers than the ones supplied. The bumper brackets were not the greatest. I needed to cut out part of the front frame and cut in 1" on the bottom of the bumper near the front frame rails. Also the rear brackets didn't fit right. I needed to drill new holes for them to work. Other than that I had no problems with the kit and some bushings from jc whittney
Add-a-leafs and a 2" leveling kit for the front will get you that in a suspension lift and you won't have to re-invent the wheel trying to align steering/shift linkages, filling gaps between body and frame, loweing the radiator and shifting the fan shroud, stretching the fuel filler pipe and coming up with bumper relocation brackets.
But thats my opinion. A body lift will get you similar clearance at least in the wheel wells. Just not between the frame and the ground.
3" body lift on my 93 only needed reworking the bumpers and included a steering linkage shaft extender in the kit (easy 2min bolt on). Oh yeah, I also sawzalled the bottom half of the fan shroud, again took about 10 min max. Tranny linkages on an auto tranny is done through a cable, and no adjustment will be needed. However, will be more complecated on a manual.
The suspension lift/leveling kit will require front end allignment. I would recommend getting taller coils, and not the spacers since i have heard that they crack/deteriorate, which will cause you problems later on.
2" is either a leveling kit or a coil spacer. 2.5" kits are either Tuff Country or Rough country, and if you're looking for the best, it's the Tuff Country with extended radius arms. (that's IMHO)
