Something's wrong with that. You shouldn't need two people do put it together or take it apart. Auto hubs or manual?

Again: auto hubs or manual hubs? They're different, and I've never had auto hubs apart, but I'm pretty familiar with manuals.

Sorry, I did not notice the title of your post until now. Obviously you have auto hubs. Why you wouldn't answer me anyway is beyond me, but...

Something is wrong if you need two people to take apart or put together a hub, auto or manual. You shouldn't need a gear puller, either. Perhaps you should try to describe exactly what kind of problem you're having and someone who is more knowledgeable about auto hubs can help. I'm sorry that I could not be of more help to you. However, you might want to pick up a Haynes and/or a Chiltons manual for your truck. They cover the assembly of auto hubs in better detail than anyone here will probably take the time to. They also have a lot of pictures which are very helpful in putting things back together.

If it's not put back together correctly, it will undoubtedly damage the hub. Auto hubs are very expensive to replace, as you might or might not know. Consider switching to manual hubs - they are cheaper, require less maintenance, are more reliable, and are easier to remove/install than the auto hubs. That's something that you won't find in a manual, and that's what makes this board so helpful.

Also, please try to use some sort of punctuation when posting and writing PMs. The lack of punctuation makes it pretty tough to figure out what you're saying. Don't take this the wrong way - I'm not bashing, just trying to be helpful.

Enjoy FTE!
