Question transfer case leak

Hello. I was wondering if anyone knew how to stop a small(SMALL) front yoke seal leak on my '81 F-150's transfer case. Actually, to be more specific, I wanted to know what type of stop-leak would work. The transfer case uses ATF, but I don't know if ATF stop-leak will work because the transfer case uses it differently. I was thinking using something like power-steering or crankcase stop-leak might work better. I just bought the case out of the junkyard and put it on(the old one had stripped gears out of it), and after just putting the case in, along with a new clutch, and several other things, I really don't want to work on this thing anymore. Anyway, does anyone want to hazard a guess?

Silicone spray on the seal will revive it. The silicone soaks into the rubber and makes it swell up. Either get some silicone spray and spray the seal or put in some fluid that has a high silicone content.

replace the seal it's only 5-10 bucks and while you'er at it inspect the yoke if it has a groove cut in it from the old seal you can get a jiffy sleeve to put on it they cost another 10-15 bucks put some grease on the yoke when you slip it back in with the right tools it shouldn't take more than an hour and will save you the frustration of trying to mickey mouse it
