I have a 1980 F-250 4X4 400 M, C-6, with a rattle at the flex plate. My friend (who builds race motors and several kit cars) determined that it is one of two things. It is either the bolts to the torque converter or the flex plate is cracked.
The problem is I fairly handy with the a tool box for maintance stuff, but this is the deepest I have delved into the drive line. I would like to know any tricks or secrets that would be of any benefit. Thanks so much!! Jeff
